Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) is one of China’s major international aviation hubs, serving Shanghai and the wider Yangtze River Delta. Located about 30 km east of central Shanghai, the airport handles both international and domestic flights and is a major hub for airlines including China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines.

PVG has two main passenger terminals, a large satellite terminal, extensive cargo facilities, and multiple runways. It is particularly important for international passenger and air-cargo traffic. Passengers can reach central Shanghai by metro, bus, or the Shanghai Maglev. The airport is also undergoing further expansion, including the construction of Terminal 3, which is expected to significantly increase its capacity.
